Are you interested in pursuing a career in radio? Or just looking to see if radio is for you? THE FITNESS BUFF offers internships for college students for the fall and spring semesters, as well as the summer session.
Intern duties can include researching health and fitness trends for discussion during the broadcast, helping promote the show at Tampa Bay area races and fitness expos, and assisting with the production of the show. We'll even provide you with the opportunities to go live on the air and contribute with voiceover work. Internships are unpaid, but official Fitness Buff merchandise and sponsor goodies are provided. The show airs just one day a week and we can create an internship around your schedule.
The Fitness Buff internship or practicum is officially offered through the University of South Florida (USF) School of Mass Communications and can be tailored to fit either a broadcasting or public relations major. For more information, contact Dr. Ken Killebrew or Dr. Kelly Page Werder at USF. Students from other schools should check with professors to see if they can earn college credit with a Fitness Buff intership.
Interested? We're seeking interns for the Summer 2010 session and Fall 2010 semester. Contact host Pete Williams at peteweems@aol.com.
